Testing Out
PLEASE SEE YOUR COUNSELOR WITH ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT TESTING OUT
Public Act 335, Section 1297B, of the State Code requires that any high school student be offered the opportunity to “test out” of any course offered by his high school.
To “test out” students must exhibit mastery of the course by receiving a 77% or higher on a comprehensive, four hour exam. Exams are given on a set day determined by the administrators and department heads in the Spring.
NON- MATH Test Out Application is open now until Wednesday, March 20th. The application can be found on PowerSchool under "Forms". Testing will take place in May.
Directions (Math and NON-Math Test Out):
· Log into PowerSchool at ps.troy.k12.mi.us (web version only)
· Click on "Forms" from the left hand side menu
· Open the form "Waiving a Math Course Through Testing Out" or " Waiving out of a NON-MATH course through Testing Out" and complete the required fields.
